Operation Procedure

airport/airline cargo terminal:

1. Tally: After the arrival of the goods, the cargo terminal will sort out and check the integrity of the goods according to the data on the air waybill. In case of any damage or shortage, they will assist the consignee to trace or claim against the airline. For the goods arriving in batches, they will track until all the goods are collected.

2. Notification: the cargo terminal will notify the consignee shown on the air waybill to collect the air waybill for customs declaration (the consignee can entrust the customs broker for customs clearance).

3.Inspection:
A：The customs will examine the imported goods and release the approved goods.
B：The goods to be inspected need to be declared to the Commodity Inspection Bureau. After passing the inspection, the Commodity Inspection Bureau will issue a certificate, which will be delivered to the Customs by the customs broker or the owner / forwarder for import declaration procedure.
C：The released goods will be subject to relevant customs duties in accordance with national laws.

4.Pick up: the consignee submits the documents passed by customs to the cargo terminal for processing, and collect the goods

5.Settlement: the consignee will pay the customs declaration fee according to the charging standard. Time passes through customs clearance will be different according to the different conditions of the goods,. Generally, cargo terminal will keep the goods for free within three days after receiving them. There will be ground handling fee (RMB 03 / kg / day) if overdue.

Customs Transferring：

Air China has a freight base in Tianjin. Some of the cargo waybills indicate that the destination is Tianjin. But they are actually customs transferred in Beijing.

Customs clearance：

The time for airport customs to accept import declaration is the same as that for export declaration. The customs clearance time is generally two working days, except that some enterprises which have emergency copy can apply for import declaration on holidays. If there is no problem with the goods, the customs clearance time will be shortened to one working day. All air cargo imported to Beijing must be subject to inspection, and the corresponding fees shall be re-imbursed.
